The Classic Car Company was created to offer a different kind of support to classic car owners. Setup by David Peters, the company was born out of his lifelong passion for classic cars. Despite being a company small enough to allow personal relationships with their clients, they still manage to provide global expertise and a standard of customer service often only associated with larger businesses.
On the 8th July, 2022, The Classic Car Company will be celebrating their tenth birthday. Owner, David Peters commented “It’s safe to say, the business has come a long way in that time. From a fairly humble beginning where we were mainly sourcing cars, to the concierge business that it is now. The business has grown steadily over the years, and now offers a full service for the classic car enthusiast, although our fully maintained storage offering remains at the core. We look after around 250 vehicles for our client base, and have had the pleasure of sourcing, restoring and selling some really special cars over the years.”
The Classic Car Company provide a wide variety of car services. From sourcing and restoring classic cars to the storage of the vehicles and bespoke car detailing.
The company’s concierge service manages the entire classic car ownership process for their clients, allowing them to actually enjoy the process, and have their car returned to them in a condition that fully lives up to their expectations.
Classic cars left in storage with the company are treated to a comprehensive three-stage storage process that prepares and maintains the clients car in their heated, secure, storage facility. Most importantly, every two weeks all the cars are run up to temperature and moved around the facility. This is critical as it allows hot oil to circulate around the engine, gearbox and differential. Brakes and gears are also engaged, and wheels turned through their full motion.
The car detailing service involves, a full inspection of the classic inside and out, and then a tailored program is implemented. This ensures that their clients vehicles look great and are protected against the elements. Firstly going through a methodical strategy process to understand the exact makeup of the classic’s paint and bodywork. From there they decontaminate, clean, paint correct, and finally protect the vehicle.
David Peters also stated “Here at The Classic Car Company, we like to think we are a little different to other business in the classic / collectable car space. One phone call, and we can ensure any job is carried out on a clients cars. Be that by our in-house team, or external partners, we now have ten years of experience in sourcing and maintaining collections of rare and collectable cars for our client base”.
